Awards and Certificates

Here are a selection of awards and certificates that I’ve received from professional development, work, and participating in programming and engineering competitions.

Organization: Professional Engineers Ontario
Under the Professional Engineers Act, holders of the professional engineering license from Professional Engineers Ontario are entitled to practice as a professional engineer in the Province of Ontario. To obtain the license, holders have to fulfill specified academic requirements, obtain a minimum of 48 months of verifiable professional engineering experience, and be of good character.
Organization: Project Management Institute
Earners of the PMP® certification have demonstrated their extensive knowledge and mastery of project management concepts, tasks, and techniques that are applicable across virtually any industry and methodology. They are able to speak and understand the global language of project management, and have demonstrated the knowledge and skills needed to initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control, and close a project.
Organization: Scrum Alliance
The CSM certification encompassed knowledge of Scrum methodologies, Agile principles, effective team facilitation, and the ability to promote a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement in projects and organizations. It validates expertise in implementing Scrum practices and driving successful Agile transformations.
Organization: Udacity
My AI nanodegree covered probabilistic AI, game-playing agents, search algorithms, neural networks, deep learning, and a specialization in NLP. The syllabus for this nanodegree can be found here.
Organization: MongoDB University
In M101J, I learned about MongoDB's no-SQL databases, document model, schema design, and CRUD operations, equipping me with practical skills for effectively using MongoDB with the Java programming language.
Organization: Stanford Online | Lagunita
I learned about regression, LDA, cross-validation, model selection, regularization, bootstrapping, nonlinear models, splines, GAM, random forests, boosting, SVM, clustering, and PCA.

A two-hour programming competition to determine the 3 teams to represent McMaster at the ACM-ICPC East Central NA Regional Contest.

A 4-week engineering challenge where teams of 3 students build a fully autonomous robot to navigate a maze. Awarded for an exemplary submitted report for the robot's control system.
